We went to see Jim Mason in rural Starbuck.

It was such a nice visit, talking things over and walking around. We met Jim and his wife Sarah about 15 years ago, when they were at Wilder Forest. Then, over the years, Jim and Don had several folk education conference experiences together, at Tyler, Des Moines, Denmark and Holland. Our paths have been criss-crossing even before that, because he used to be at Northeast Neighborhood House in Minneapolis, Hull House in Chicago, and outside of Huntley, Illinois; all places where my dad Bill Bacon worked or lived too!!
